Legal Type Selection
Similar to nonresident investors, resident investors must select the appropriate legal structure for their business.
If updates are needed for an existing commercial registration, the following steps must be completed:
1. Passport or Oman Resident ID
2. Letter of Request for Update
If a company wishes to cease operations, the Commercial Registration (CR) liquidation process must be followed as per the regulatory guidelines.
Business ownership can be transferred by filing the necessary legal documents and updating the CR records accordingly.
If the company no longer intends to operate, it must officially cancel its CR with the appropriate authorities.
